Instructions

Using this blog respond to the questions here that you researched with your family members. Do this by clicking on the "comment" button for each of the questions and responding. Make sure that you use complete sentences. Also there is one new question on this blog question six which asks you to read the comments of your classmates. Read your peers' responses and compare them to you and your families experiences. The bonus question is on the next page of this blog. Use the tab on the right to view this question.

Question one

(1) By asking your eldest relatives, see how far you can trace back your heritage. If you have American Indian blood what tribe(s) do/does your family come from? What other countries or ethnicities are a part of your heritage?

(2) How has race affected you or a relative in this country?

(3) Who is the oldest relative someone in your family can remember? Give a description of this person. How is this person similar to you?

(4) What is one tradition your family has that is part of your cultural or religious heritage?

(5) What are some of the difficulties a new immigrant in the United States might face?
